It is that time of the year when mercury rises to the top not just around Delhi but everywhere else in India, and everyone is looking for a gap to break free from the daily city cycles. The advantage for the people residing in Delhi is the fact that the capital city is situated at a centre point which is midway of the mighty Himalayas in the North and beautiful cities of Rajasthan in the west. So it is very much feasible to make a short weekend plan to any kind of preferred location which is not more than six to eight hours of ride. So in the report below we short list a number of weekend getaways for the Delhi NCR people who wouldn’t mind riding their motorcycles for a short two-three days trip.

The National Highway 8 which leads to the Pink City is usually under repairs and construction, so make sure you plan your trip accordingly as the ride time might stretch or reduce, depending on the state of the highway.
- Kasauli (305 kms – 6 hours ride):
Kasauli is a small hill station at a distance of just 50-60kms away from Chandigarh. It is right before Solan on the way to Shimla, but since it is in the foothills, it is very widely popular among the tourists visiting from over longer distances. It is not as crowded as other mainstream hill stations, and hence retains its natural appeal which travelers long for.
